According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Black people account for 1.4 times as many coronavirus cases as white people, 3.7 times as many hospitalizations and 2.8 times as many deaths. Hispanic and Indigenous people are seeing similarly increased infection and death rates and four times as many hospitalizations as white people. Asians are seeing increased rates as well.
